The next fly tying session is Monday the 26th of April 7.00 pm at the clubrooms .
With winter just around the corner, the timing is right to start tying some “winter” patterns.
Roger will start the evening giving the group some insight into the winter fishing in our area, places to go and flies to use.
Shawn will then demo the “black marabou” a real must have in your winter flybox. The demo will also incorporate the epoxy eye technique that a few of the regulars have shown an interest in.

All welcome and hope to see you there.
On Monday the 12 th April John McCarron will demo the Mrs Simpson.
The Mrs Simpson is a distinctive fly designed in NZ . Its origin has become rather clouded. The tie shown is here is the Kilwell pattern which has withstood the test of time. The fly is tied “killer” style, and is a great bully imitation and is very successful on all New Zealand lakes.
